The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria receives numerous requests each year from foreign university students wishing to study some subjects included in the syllabi of the University. Given the growing importance for undergraduates and graduates to make their CV as international as possible within the context of the EHEA, as well as within other global environments, the Vice-president for International and Institutional Affairs has decided to regulate the study periods of those foreign students who are not covered by any one particular exchange agreement. This enables students who are not covered by any of the existing exchange programmes to gain access to the subjects taught at the ULPGC. Students who are interested in this option must fulfil the following requisites:

  • Applicants should have completed at least the whole of the first year of their university studies, or 60 credits, excluding complementary credit courses (libre configuración, in Spanish), where applicable.
  • Time limits: a minimum of one full semester and a maximum of one full academic year.
  • Applicants are obliged to take out insurance covering accidents and health for the period of their studies in the ULPGC.
